Store and Warehouse Planning

We have prepared the following checklist to help
you plan your retail environment.

Retail Planning:

- Floor area dimensions with location of steps & closets
- Location of posts
- Ceiling height & type (i.e. drop ceiling, etc.)
- Suggested minimum aisle width is 36"
- Location and size of storage area
- Location and number of blind spots from the cash counter
- Location of entrances/exits
- Location and size of administrative offices
- Product size & weight
- Color scheme
- Composition of walls (brick, drywall, concrete block, etc.)

- Lighting clearance
- Location of posts
- Location of mezanine
- Location of high security area
- Stock management system (i.e. hand stocked, pump truck, forklift, ladder, etc.)
- Loading dock type
- Product size & weight
